Recovery Program.
Cheswick Consultants Recovery Program has been in development since 1992. This unique program is open by interview to those who may have been through addiction, burnout and depression. Currently numbers are limited to 3 participants each month. If you’d like to enquire, you can do so here.
Designed for professionals and young adults navigating the critical transition from clinical stability to real-world independence and founded on the principle that recovery requires action, we offer a high-density ‘circuit breaker’ that replaces mental fatigue with the tangible weight of manual achievement and structured discipline.
The 28 day program bridges the gap for those stalled by burnout, clinical depression, and post-treatment addiction. We do not simply offer a rest; we provide a vocational and psychological reboot.
The Four-Pillar Framework
Our evidence-informed program is a calibrated daily circuit designed to optimise the nervous system and restore metabolic health through task-completion.
Meditation Yoga: A functional practice designed for physical regulation and structural grounding.
Gardening: Regular hours of aerobic manual labour focussed on soil management, pruning, and landscape restoration.
Reflection: Targeted periods of silent self-inquiry and tactical planning to restore executive focus and clear mental fog.
Counselling: Support featuring daily group sessions and bi-weekly individual deep-dives to translate physical work into psychological resilience.
Why This Works: The ‘Manual-Action’ Advantage
Active Engagement: Traditional recovery models often fail because they prioritise passive rest, which can exacerbate the ‘stalling’ effect of depression. Our program pivots to Active Engagement.
Tangible Achievement: Our model produces visible, physical results. Seeing a landscape transformed by one’s own hands provides a biological ‘dopamine reset’ that talk therapy alone cannot replicate.
Metabolic Restoration: By aligning physical movement with nutritional discipline and professional counselling, we address the body and mind as a single, high-performance system.
Sustainable Stability: The four-week protocol is specifically designed to build Vocational Stamina. We prepare our clients for the ‘high-stakes’ environment of their professional lives by testing their resilience in a structured, real-world setting.
Who We Serve
Cheswick is designed for individuals who require a discipline-based alternative to passive recovery.
The Professional in Burnout: Leaders needing a concentrated reset to restore cognitive focus and everyday functioning.
The Post-Clinical Graduate: Individuals who have achieved medical stability after addiction treatment but require a ‘bridge’ to prevent relapse.
The Stalled Young Adult: Those needing a somatic, grounded path back to independence and vocational direction.
Garden Restoration Services: The Living Legacy
Our impact extends beyond the individual and into the soil. Our professional garden improvement services provide ongoing design, maintenance and enhancement for private and community estates.
This is a continuation of the therapeutic process through Productive Contribution. By emphasising practical, hands-on tasks—planting, seasonal planning, and landscape tidying—we ensure that the gardens we serve are healthier and more functional. For our clients, these services provide a vital pathway, reinforcing routine and purpose long after the intensive programme concludes.
